the black cat sticker club

Every month you get one sticker of a black cat. Always a black cat? Yes. Always a black cat.

My muse is my own black cat, Campari (she's 13, she's the best, more on her here). But what I'm really chasing is that universal black cat spirit — the weird, magic, slightly chaotic thing every black cat person already knows about.

I'm using this club as a chance to explore new mediums and new ways of capturing her essence — paint, charcoal, digital, collage, whatever I'm curious about that month. So expect each month to look pretty different.

how it works

why a black cat?

Because she's the reason I've come to really see myself as an artist, and to actually go for it.

Two years ago I burnt out — on my career, on everything, including my ability to paint. Painting her is how I found my way back, and how I keep finding a looser, more expressive voice that feels more like me than ever.

so… why would you join?

Honestly? If you sign up, I want to know why. Like, actually. Maybe it's one of these:

Whatever your reason, email me and tell me.

do you have a black cat?

Please send me pictures of them. I'm serious. Campari's my muse, but every black cat out there is part of the spirit I'm trying to capture, and yours are inspo. Weird poses, bad angles, full loaf. All of it.

send me your black cat

thanks for being here.

I love you. Bye bye.
